    Welcome from the west coast of FL drchip! My first hammock is the HH explorer deluxe. Still roomy and comfy for me. Excellent choice for first choice! Heard about the book you talked of. One day I need to pick up a copy. Heard it was a good read!

    I agree that water and hammocks are a good combination for a trip. I'm looking into getting a packraft first and seeing where that takes me. (yeah, down river!)
