Modular quilt system?

oooooo a peapod....which would mean i could use the goretex bivysac as a weather barrier......i was aiming for a topquilt configuration but yall are seeing way past that.

yes the system as a whole is heavy as nuts. but....in the summer/spring/fall you would only use the green bag.....in deeper weather you would combine them. in the poopiest of weather you would combine them all....
so you wouldnt be humping the 12lb brick everytime. yes you are correct it is heavy, but each bag is synthetic and reated with resin coated somethingorother which makes it water proofier then other synth? i dunno. i kinda got used to the weight when in ....but that doesnt mean its smart weight.

the goal is trying to modify the usgi MSS into a versatile multi layered comprehenseive (all)4 season TQ.

i know its kinda heavy...but its alot of gear in one tight package (and thats also why were gonna mod it). please open mind you will keep? also i am assuming you WONT use the bivy with this. each bag can be used alone as well as having hookups to create a SUPER BAG

Sell all that crap and get some proper hammock gear, I did. If you live in a cold climate that system is worth keeping in the back of the truck, otherwise it is junk.
