I figgerd as much BillyBob. I also failed to mention that the quilt is a JrB Hudson River in which I overstuffed with 2oz of Speer's 900fp down. It now has officially 3" loft. Youre right tho, ol' Mt. Baldy or Escudilla, Humphreys or Graham will all get down into the 30's even in July. Im looking at mostly 6500-7000' hikes in the summer here, as it sounds like you are quite aware of the area. I slept in my back yard the other day with a low of 49° (about 11:00 pm) when I woke up sweating profusely. I was wearing boxers, nothing else not even socks. The underquilt combined with that little blue top quilt i made was just toooo much. It'll be fine down to 35° I'd guess.
I had to change out the bungee cord on the netting to a 6" length. The shorter size was stressing the mesh. Also I ditched the spreader bars thinking I can find free sticks in the forest. Other than that, no problems.
