Yeah, he must always have that camera of his handy to catch something like that

Been eyeballing my hammock lately dreaming about it's next trip... too bad I'm gonna miss this hang fellas. I'm Having bunion surgery on my right foot. Turns out all that walking last year left me with a few broken bones (No wonder I resorted to herbal medication )

Look forward to the trip reports!!!!

I hope the fix goes well and you can get back on the trail.

    Bump

We are planning a fall trip to Minnesota in October. I have made reservations for the other kind of camping at the Temperance River State Park for the RVs for the wives while on the hike. I hope that the hang is still on for the weekend of October 15 and 16. Are we going to the Cross river area that is near the Temperance River State Park?
Dennis and I are planning on the hang and leaving our wives with the RVs while on the hike, they will tour and shop from there. She has been asking about details. I've told her that there has not been much activity on the thread for a while.

I have requested the time off and will be up on the SHT for sure that weekend. I think going south from temperance would be a cool place to hike because there are some awesome sites to see and quite a few camp grounds along the way.

But, you're right. With a little over a month away I think it would be good to start getting a head count on this whole thing.

So, once someone knows they're in. Just let us know and we'll start a list for the Northern Hang.

I'm in, planning to head north from the Twin Cities on Friday morning.

The hike from Temperance south has some sustained climbing to get to the ridgeline, though the Cross River campsites are (mostly) very nice, suitable for hanging.

I'm heading out Friday morning as well. Did you have any other suggestions besides cross river?
