I have been looking around the forum for information regarding how to put together the Suspension system for an Underquilt.
So far i have come up with that all the sides need a channel for cord to go through. Now the way the cord goes throw and is hooked up is all different. Also that the some use a combo of different cordage.
Shock Cord system
- Head and foot end channels have one end sewn or a loop and the other has a cord lock.
- Head and foot end channels have loops and there is a hole in the center of each channel with a cord lock.
- Side channels have a shock cord that is continuous and loops through channels.
Combo System
- This is one that uses both shock cord and zing it: http://www.hammockforums.net/gallery...p?i=11968&c=15
- Also i have read others using amsteel but that wouldnt have any give.
If there is anything i have missed please comment. Also does anybody have advice on other systems or techniques of attaching the underquilt to the hammock???
