I don't care as much for the very stretchy, extreme drape style, as it's a real pain to sew with. Both weights that we've had here at DIY Gear Supply have been relatively stiff compared to some others I've tried working with.

I do plan to carry both varieties, and give a price drop for the 1.1oz style, for those who don't care about the small weight difference - but it's important to me that we carry the 0.9oz for the weight conscious.

Now, if only I could source the 0.7oz variety...
heck, Scott, if you could find somebody willing to weave no-seeum out of dyneema... you could get .5oz/yd^2 . . .

Well, I can get fine netting around 0.4-0.5oz/yd^2, but I'm not entirely sure it's rugged enough for hammocks. Would be good for down quilts though... maybe I should pursue it a bit more.

Seeing great differences in mesh and feeling big differences in breeze and heat retention as a consequence, knowing that mesh and maybe some other parameter of strength would be helpful in picking material for bug netting.

In mid - August my druthers would be for breeze-admitting coarser mesh, fortification with UN suggested insecticide treatment, and self-administered picardin spray on the mesh to discourage critters from even trying to get through.

No criticism of any supplier or hammock maker implied.
