    New Hanger in south Georgia

    Hey HF guys,

I have spent a good amount of time on this site and I figured I'd finally join and become active. I'm a big DIYer and have already started making my first HH clone. I'm also a big environmentalist, that's why everything that has gone into my hammock is recycled so far. The fabric is 100% recycled plastic bottles(poly) and the lines are mostly hand braided used pine straw bailing string, the bright orange stuff.

I would like to say that this is an awesome resource and yall have done a great job with the site. Also, I have an engineering degree so if anyone needs any somewhat complicated calculations done feel free to contact me and I'll help if I can.

    Sincerely,

    Clay

what would be an appropriate place to post the pics. I have the hammock without the bug net and tarp finished. Maybe the post that I saw the design on initially? that thread is already at like 40 pages though, lol

You could start a thread in the DIY section or just post the pics here. Welcome from a fellow Georgian! I'm about to start a pretty large DIY project (my 1st) as soon as my Momentum arrives.

Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.
    Pursuing it with eager feet
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."

I ended up posting it on the diy HH clone thread.

    Wakozacho,

I'm completely new to hanging and I'm looking to go on a camping trip soon in georgia, is there anywhere that you would recommend since you aren't too far away. I know of one place on lake tugaloo near tallua gorge that is pretty amazing, but I figure you have a place or two to recommend. Also, if you would want to try to plan a hanging trip in ga some time let me know.
