What do you use for Shock Cord? Will 4mm shock cord be enough for my Superfly? for centre tie outs sown in the middle of the fly and the doors.

I use 8 ft lengths of 1/8" shock cord for the center pullouts.
How much weight does the shock cords add? I figure will probably need 30 foot of shock cord
Hi Phil,
Yes it was great to meet you down my way while you were on holidays! COngrats on all your new kit. You will love it all no doubt what so ever!
Im glad you found the videos useful!
Ive used 4mm Shock cord for the pannel or center pulls on the tarp. At the moment I have about a 10cm loop (20cm all up) then its attached to my spectra cordage. That gives it a bit of 'give' in the wind (and Queensland snow)
Thanks Hitchhiker, I found some 4mm Shock cord for sale on ebay, I'm going to see if I can find any locally on Monday before ordering of ebay. But where I live, I doubt ill find any.
No snow in QLD but plenty of water, It's raining again as I type. And wind, that's got me a bit concerned, hence why I've ordered the fly line with the tensioners from woopieslings.com
We often get gale force winds where I live. I just hope the Superfly can withstand this.
How long does it generally take for postage to Australia? And how accurate are the USPS postal service online tracking? According to latest online tracking, there's no indication that my order has left the states for Australia. I've ordered and paid for my order way back on the 14th July.

I wouldn't rely on the usps tracking. Rarely has it been up to date when i've used it. I ordered mine on the 12th btw!
I hope your correct, because according to the online tracking it has not left.
I expected after two weeks to have had my order, had no idea USPS is this hopeless. Would have paid extra for faster transport but the prices quoted to me was just highway robbery for the faster transport option. Was quoted $205.00 for 4 day freight from the states, which sounded strange to me. considering I purchased a Hilleberg Tent and a Downmat recently from the states and only paid $75.00 for 4 day freight to Australia, and this order is a lot heavier than the order I'm waiting on from Warbonnet.
One of the packages I'm waiting on has turned up in the post today, strange thing is that it was one that was ordered and posted 4 days later.
The one that arrived today is the only one that mentioned on the online tracking that it had left the states.
I'm expecting 3 packages from the States using USPS postal service. 2 from Whoopieslings.com and one from warbonnet.
The warbonnet ordered on the 14th and posted on the 20th July
The whoopieslings.com orders where posted on the 15th and on the 19th July
The whoopieslings.com order posted on the 19th is the one that arrived today and it's the only one that's indicated online track and trace that it left the states, the other two orders according to track and trace are still at the states. It's got me wondering why?
May I suggest You guys out there offer a better option for us overseas buyers. Because this will put me off anymore purchases from the states unless you offer a different postage service to USPS. Was going to order a Top quilt from Warbonnet, I'm not going to do this again. Will be looking elsewhere, unless there is a much better postage option.
