What is your lightest summer UQ or under insulation setup.
Just finished a 2.5 climashield/M90 top quilt and thinking about a
2.5 CS UQ.
It should come in at about 9-10 oz.

I have an UL UQ on order now with Hammock Gear that should come in between 4 to 6 oz. apx. and should take me down to 40. Don't have it yet so don't know the exact weight and cant wait to find out.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
That has to be down and something like momentum to be that light.
Sounds nice.
Just trying to keep it simple with climashield and I live in a very humid
environment. Its very easy to work with.
I have worked with down and its an incredible PIA.
I made a sewn thru down underquilt 49"x38" and the weight broke down as follow:
3 oz of 900 FP down
5.3 oz of nylon
2.3 oz of suspension
10.6 oz grand total
I have been quite comfortable down to 38 degrees on the shore of a lake with that while wearing two wool tee shirts, one nylon shirt and a thin polartec power shield pullover on top, wool baselayer bottoms, wool socks and a two beanies. I also had a 2" thick down top quilt.

Define "summer" for us. To some, that's down to 40. For me, that's down to like, 55. I haven't tried it yet, but 1/8" polyethylene foam from McMaster-Carr should be really light, probably around 5 ounces? Haven't cut it to dimension yet, but my piece that is 51" wide and somewhere around 6 feet long is 10.2 ounces. Hoping that will be enough for me down to 55+.
