Thanks for the comments; its good to know that some sellers are open to the suggestion of selling outside of of CONUS. Shipping costs would be covered by the buyer (me), so thats not a problem. I'll keep my eyes on the sale threads

I know this is a little underhanded and I might be warned by someone for posting this but you could always see if the vendor would allow a perfect stranger to try out the made hammock before shipping it then it could be classified as "Used" and you could avoid some of the fees you are talking about.
