by stiff do you mean i will get a flatter lay, or the material is stiffer and not soft?

    Yes.

I find the 1.7 dbl does give a flatter lay because of the stiffer material but is not as comfortable as the 1.1 dbl. The 1.1 dbl allows more "cradle" (for want of a better word) effect of my shoulder and hip and a softer feeling matierial too. Sort of like a Sleep # bed...my wife likes 60 and I like 45. The softer setting seems to offer more support overall with no numb arm.

    YMMV

There no overkill if instead of HH Snakeskin into the bishop style bag, you use a pair of pantyhose with the toes snipped. Tiny mass and bulk, can cost $1 or less. First pair I expected to last a weekend have lasted over 20 uses.

I would never have come up with the pantyhose idea! Seems very obvious. But I may be prefer the slightly better dirt protection of the snake skins ;-)
    Thanks.
