    Greetings from Bedforshire, England

    Hello everyone,

I have been lurking here on and off for some time, recently rather more, and having just (attempted) to start a thread I realised that it was very poor form of me not to have popped in here and introduced myself first!

So, the obligatory little bit about me I am a confirmed hammock dweller whenever possible, was introduced to a Hennessy Exped Asym in 2004 and was gifted an early under-cover + pad to go with it. I now have a UKHammocks WoodsmanX, one of their underquilts and one of their tarps, and the Hennessy is pretty thoroughly retired. Had a chance to hang in Norway a couple of times, and on three trips to southern Sweden, hammocks worked very well there. Tried one in Scotland and the UK Lake District, but both have a lack of trees in useful locations.

I go by the same forum name pretty much everywhere, but am not a particularly active poster since I only post when I have a question that my searches can't answer, or I think I can add something to the discussion. I perform sporadic moderating duty on BushcraftUK and am a long member on Britishblades and Bladeforum, having got interested in knife making about 15 years ago. That was between the interests in fly tying, bow making and gear sewing!

Anyway, that's probably enough about me. I really enjoy this forum and the information here.

    Thanks!!

    Chris

Hi Chris, have you dropped in on the UK hammock forum yet?

Nice folks, good local info and the UK cottage vendors hang out there.
