I have two things I carry depending on where I am and what I am doing.
    - I bring a 2' X 3' piece folded like a map. I bring this as a sit pad because it is wet up here in the Northwest and I like having a dry behind.
    - In one of my day packs that is very unstructured, I put a circle of reflectix inside pack to add rigidity. This also doubles as a sit pad.
    - I also use these as mats when taking my shoes off before getting in hammock, it is kinda soft on the foot.

Lastly, I made an envelope for a mountain house meal. I use this if I want to keep my pot clean for water of coffee. Keeps the meal hot and makes the bag / pouch easy to hold.

I used one as a sleep pad. Some would say there is a problem with sweat, I never had that problem...and believe me I sweat. I used it in 50°F range with a double layer hammock, it did the job. Since then I got an under quilt.

With a little packing tape, you can make a pouch to hold a freeze dried pouch, so it stays really hot for a long time, and reconstitutes completely.
Also keeps meal warm for a long time in the winter.

Also a couple of feet make a good PIF that gets grabbed up quickly.

Another option is to just buy more cook kit setups and make more cozies, I currently have 4 different kits that I can grab and go.

    Yes I know I have a problem.

Anywhere you need some extra insulation.

Wine bottle cozy - only to keep the stuff chilled not warm.

I am thinking of experimenting with it for small batches of ribs a la the "cooler ribs" posting elsewhere.

Heck I even used it to insulate the heater on my son's giant hermit crab tank. The stuff is so versatile. Or - you could use it for what it is generally intended - insulate the garage doors.
