Camping at Burrells Ford, my friends first time hammock camping!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viZ8Z...=youtube_gdata

that is the video link. Im not too good at embeding videos but, it was a nice little trip. the river was warm but we made a few mistakes
    1. we both forgot sleeping bags, luckily for some beer we stayed warm for awhile until I found a towel and threw it over me.
    2. I picked a horrible site that flooded me out. but my aweasome oldman winter tarp from WL kept me nice and dry
    3. didnt bring enough beer!

overall it was an aweasome trip. I love it down there, met a nice ol guy who was using an eno and he loved my blackbird. We hung out by the fire all night talking about it. also my friend tried out his new grand trunk air bivy which he said he slept like a baby so we have another convert he should be joining the forum family soon. thanx for reading guys

all I know is your driving down burrells ford rd and you pass the campground to your left and we parked and went in the trail head to the right before the bridge

Sounds like thats where you were. Been 10 years or so since i've been there. Think they had a pit toilet and a couple of water wells at the time (nice combination, eh?)

This looks like the site just below where I camped when I went last month. We had a great trip.
www.cwhammocks.com/home/chatooga Other than being a little damp, it looks like y'all had a decent time too. That is a great area to camp. I can't wait to go back.

That area of the Chatooga is one of my goto places. There are so many great sites to camp. I love it in there. If there is a down side, it's that a lot of other people love it too.
