Wish I would have had a way to contact you. We camped the first night by Curry village.

Just heard one backpacker died and another one is missing in Yosemite. Really sad.
Thanks a lot. So the cables were still down when you went? And yeah, very sad. We attended a YOSAR talk one rainy night, which was quite informative and interesting. Never realized that swift water incidents were such a prominent cause of death in the Valley. The dead and missing hikers in Yosemite of recent news are presumed to be swift water accidents from what I heard.

Thanks a lot. I wish I had some more time when I was there to actually "try" with my photography. All of these were just snapshots of my adventures along the way. Not too much consideration was taken into the artistic aspects of each shot, but when you've got such beautiful scenery in front of you, it's hard to make it look bad. Stephprez, you rock brother! I was up at Hetch Hetchy that same weekend and got rain, sleet, snow and hail. This past weekend did Half Dome via Panorama trail, bear at Hetchy Hetchy, deer this past weekend and nothing approaching your adventure... way to go!

Stefprez, I checked out the Snake dike trail and climb on a topo map. All I can say is you the Man!!

I wish we could have seen a bear (from a distance) on our trip.

Amazing sounding trip. I find it particularly ammusing that one day your trying to avoid a bear, and another your chasing after one.
