    Thumbs up Oware Tarps

They seem nice, 10 X 10 with side pull outs and 16 side tie outs. Not to shabby. Just never heard of Oware before, was wondering if you folks have heard of them or know anything about. Thanks

Oware has supplied backpacking goodies for a few years now, a good source for hammock pads.

Are the tarps cheap or are they inexpensive?

I originally jumped the gun and posted this thread because I found one on Ebay that was listing for 21 bucks! I wanted to post here to see if it was a swindle or something. Ya know one of those that are seemingly the real deal from a brand you never heard of before, but then you get the product and its falling apart. After posting here I bid to see if the price was real, so I put in a bid. But then it said you have been out bidded and it is probably set somewhere around the normal factory price so I backed off. But they look pretty nice. So much for the cheap silnylon tarps!

i've got one of his 8x10's and it is a decent tarp rolled hems and webbing tie outs. price was typical for the size and being sil, about 110$ i believe. two things though: he makes his tarps with the ridge line seam running across the tarp ie an 8' seam on the 8'x10' tarp personally i don't really care for that even though i never had any problems and he assured me before ordering that i wouldn't have problems setting it up with a 10' ridge. (being the most economical, least lost fabric) the second thing are the panel pull outs, the reinforcing patch is heavy plastic? rubberized cordura? placed on the outside of the tarp.
