Welcome, Ears! The MAHA Fall hang will be most like the Spring MAHA - you'll like it. However there's another one you might want to consider as well, Dolly Sods Sept. 16th-18th. That's more like a backpacking trip (with variable routes, but some common campsites). Did you say you were at a college in WV?

yea, i have land in md knoxville. but nothing really there but that.
left the bethesda hospital almost a year ago....not even.. and usually they are good about getting you where you need to go but me? they kinda dropped off in md....didnt have nuff time to do anything while in cause they sent me to that haiti earthquake thing.(dont get me wrong that was Grrrrreat!). and then Bamcis. civvy world! supposed to go back to NY but the two parental figures died while i was serving. so its granparents time! but thats life. cant have new life without extinguishing the old.

im going to shepherd college, its basically on the boarder of md n wv. lotsa wlderness to explore....more importantly lots hammock only wilderness........

about the fall MAHHA:
so general question insulation wise, what would i need to suppliment if i have a pad n a 0 degree bag. and some of that good old marine cold weather gear just happened to come home with me. thanks WV!

Ears, you're only 10 miles from Gathland SP. You'll be able to tell us what the weather is doing.

wv ima definitely look into gathland sp. maybe even do some practice runs. you know to find all the good spots.....for everyone...?

just got confirmation that my hennessy is on its beautiful way to my door, once i get back stateside its going to be a whole new ball game.....now i need to have patience.... but i still need to get a tarp..
needless to say im giddy as heck

You don't even need to worry about what gear you have. If you need something all you have to do is ask and someone will let you borrow. I've seen many entire rigs being borrowed. The convenience of hanging with gear heads.
