A traveler does not have a footbox. It is a straight up rectangular gathered end hammock. It distinguishes itself from other no-net gathered end hammocks (e.g., ENO) in the fabric used and dimensions, and a structural ridgeline.
oh, yeah, there's also the "I'm a WBG groupie kewlness factor "

This should answer most of your questions with regards to Warbonnet Hammocks:

i was also looking for a netless hammock, did a lot of looking.
i associated a boot box with comfort and a flat lay. i found these and decided to try it out and,
man, am i glad. it has draw cords that emulate a foot box.
i think of it as a foot pouch, and it works well. it achieves super flatness by it's 11' length.
i like it as well or better than my other hammock.
It doesn't have a footbox, but it doesn't have all of the fabric and bug net over it either. I have both a blackbird and a traveler and haven't had any issues with foot room. Course, I'm only 5' 7", so that could have some impact.
Do like my Traveler better, though.
