Hiya from Dumfries & Galloway I also have a HH and have been doing OK with a 3/4 down UQ (first camp of this year was the last week in Jan, got down to about -5 and I was warm enough) but my ever understanding other half just surprised me today with a JRB winter nest happy hanging.

Wow what a warm welcome from all of you - awesome! Thanks guys.

I know I've found a lifelong passion with hammocking & felt pretty much alone here as nobody I know personally is into it... but finding all you guys and seeing the same passion in you all is just great.

I know I've come to the right place when loads of you take the time to say Hi & pass on a few nuggets of wisdom. Feel like I've joined a brotherhood!

Scotchbonnet - lucky you!! Bet you can't wait to try it out. I'd be interested to hear how you get on as that's one of the UQ's I was thinking about.

So many trees - so little time!!

and sisterhood I'm out this weekend for a spot of fishing and hanging, we're due for thunderstorms but it should be pretty warm, I'll let you know how the quilt works out, I think I'll just take a fleece blanket for the top layer (plus clothes)
I would also strongly recommend the zip mod for the HH, I did mine myself, so scary with the stitch ripper, felt like I was performing surgery but it makes the HH a whole new experience, and it means you can make the morning coffee without having to get up
