60+, Fleece is what I use
I have a Owyhee 1s from AHE. High quality, packs small and is light. It is however not down but Climashield. I bought mine on one of the weekend sales for $100.
KK,
I've used several things and haven't hit on the right thing yet. I've tried synthetic & down quilts but they were too hot, same as you. Tried a fleece and it was okay but a little bulky and heavy. A sheet (cotton) is too heavy and absorbs too much moisture. I am thinking about making a very lightweight synthetic quilt or cutting down a fleece bag and removing the zipper. I am also planning on trying a nylon "sheet" or TQ (just ripstop with a footbox, no insulation).
Let us know how you make out.
Jay
I havnt tried this yet but plan to. I have a sea to summit sleeping bag liner that says also makes a great summer sleeping bag in its description. it is not windproof but I imagine with a 3 season underquilt just the liner would be enough for on top. but again i havnt tried this yet but plan to this summer.
this is the one.

packs down to just a little bigger than a baseball
I like my poncho liner, Good to 50 for me.. Plenty big and could be cut down if that is a worry.. Fits into my traveler stuff sack no problems..
We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..
DIY, narrow cut, 2.5oz/yd climashield TQ...8oz and good to 55*

KK how about a IX TQ ... maybe only 1 layer .... with a ripstop shell and a draw string foot box so it can vent... would be very cheap to make
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
