    Is Air Core Nano splicable?

I just ordered some Air Core Nano line for tarp guylines. I am considering using some to make my CRL. Is it slicable, or do I have to resort to knots? (I am not worried about using knots, I just want to know if I can splice this stuff)

Please describe it when it arrives. I think I have some of the heavier Aircore by another name, also made of Allied's Spectra. I've made loops with brummels, whoopies, and soft shackles with it. The thinner the braided cord, the finer the tools and the better the vision and patience required to work with it.

    This is what I have:

After I received it, I don't think I can splice this. It is very tiny. Nice cord, but tangles very easily.

It might be spliceable. If you want to send me about 10' and can tell you for sure.

Its a double braid, and some double braids are spliceable, some arent. It may be a kernmantle rope (rope that derives its strength from the core) and most kernmantle ropes arent spliceable.

Not to change the subject, but I noticed you live in Lansing. I grew up in Alma. Small world.

I apologize for not reading the specs. What with "aircore" suggesting "hollow core" = single 8-12 braid, and the other products in the line being that, I got it wrong.

This stuff is selected / constructed for its properties, including that it hold appropriate knots well and is gripped as securely as it should be with line-locs. And, with the Dyneema / Spectra core, designed for tie down tents and work with tarps with particular stretch characteristics.
