Kurt, I suggest you email Brandon to ask about it. He was very responsive with any questions I had.

I did, and yes he is. He just hasn't shipped it yet.
I'm sure you know how it is, with the internet you place an order for something that's in stock and you see it shipped on the next business day, and when you don't you assume something is wrong. You just grow accustomed to that. Especially when you spend two days pay and a couple of weeks later you still don't have anything to show for it.
Do they hand make them at the time of purchase, or have a stock pile of them

I tried er out last night. Not bad at all. I'll try to get a few pics loaded up later today.
First of all I was surprised by the color. It's a pretty dark green. It's pretty much the exact same color as my Hennessy. Just an observation...
The construction of the hammock is great.
One hang was enough to know I don't like the line/strap suspension. Too much knot tying. No worries though, I chose that suspension type specifically because I had plans to replace it with whoopie slings. Have other people modded their hammocks mere minutes after taking them out of the stuff sack? Changing to whoopies was a breeze. I hung it again using the stock straps with a marlinspike hitch. Much Much better with the whoopies.
Comfort seems pretty good. I will have to get used to the top entry (My Hennessy is a bottom entry) I can see how the top entry might be a challenge if you have mobility issues. I love being able to tie the netting to one side for an open hammock. Lying in it I could feel my back cooling off from the breeze. I'll definitely need to try it with a pad or UQ. It was pretty comfortable and roomy. Another thing to mention is the zippers. It looks like it would be easy to catch the fabric if you're not careful, especially if you aren't using the tie outs. I think I will be adding some loops of Zing It to the zipper pulls to make them easier to find. The black zipper doesn't stand out much from the green fabric.
The Super Fly is HUGE! Love it. I hung it with a CRL that I made a couple weeks ago from 1.7 mm Cypres Loop material. It's a braided twine used to close reserve parachute containers. It's similar to Zing It but more slippery. For tie outs I used 550 cord just cuz it was quick to chop some lengths of it. I plan to make some self tensioning guy lines with my Zing It for when I use the tarp for real. I love how small the tarp packs. Again, a little surprise at the darkness of the color. It looks like the same pattern as MARPAT Woodland camo, just darker. Again, just an observation, not a complaint.
Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. I might try sleeping in the rig this weekend.
Congrats! Show photos, please??
Nice looking setup! I can't wait for mine to arrive!
Wow, love the tarp! Wish I'd gotten the camo one...
I should have paid more attention to the shipping times. I didn't notice on the website that items ship in around a week, so it will take 2 weeks to arrive. That means I won't have the new hammock and superfly for my 2 week trip on the AT starting next week.
