    I did some hiking in Spain! Wow!

    I recently returned from a 16 day trip to Spain. It is a fabulous country with a broad variety of things to see and do, especially, for a history buff like me. Tops on the list was my hiking trip to Asturias, the northern province of Spain along the Atlantic coast. Oddly, one faces due north when standing on the shore looking out over the ocean. The Cantabrian mountains there are between the height of the Appalachians and the Rockies. They share the ruggedness of the Rockies but the green of the Appalachians. They also have some of the nicest, most hospitable folks in the world! And just to prove it happened, here are some pics

    Looks like you traveled back in time in that trip. Spain has some beautiful country and you aren't kidding about the friendliness of the people there. Thanks for sharing and glad you had a great trip.
