What kinda dimensions did you have for the pieces?
.... the Aardvark (earth pig)... a rather unremarkable creature whose sole claim to fame is that it is the first animal listed in the dictionary.

Ooooohh! Very nice job... I am interested in the dimensions (**Edit: I see the dimensions 46 x 65 **).

Is that the size of your hammock, how you decided on the size???

Looks like a great and fairly easy idea.

    Thanks
    Jim

    I started with nylon 48 X 67 and the fleece was 46 X 65.

As the fleece is pretty sturdy material, is there any reason other than cosmetic for enclosing it is some 6 oz of nylon?

My guess would be for wind and rain spray protection, otherwise wind and rain would come right through the thinner fleece...

Scooterdogma was right on and that everything (leaves, sticks, etc) sticks to fleece and would help protect from that, but other than those things, just a piece of fleece would work!

And it is only about 2.5 oz of nylon. That is 1.1 oz/sq yd nylon.

    Hey harrel79cj5,

Any updates on how this has performed? Also, can you post a picture of this packed up?

    Thanks,
    RedStix
