OK, so that was the Grand Prize, but what did you win first?

I won the WBBB 1.1 double and hopefully I can afford an Under quilt, Top Quilt and tarp for it soon so I can really test it out.

I won a TTTM Single hammock that i traded to Gearjunkie's son for his TTTM Double so he could have a smaller hammock that he fit into. I then gave my TTTM Double to begreybackpacker and his wife so they could hang together...i had won enough and did not want to have to carry the extra weight back. Besides, the real prize was getting to go hiking and hanging with all my new friends.

    Thumbs up What a hang

Hello Everyone. We just got back and unpacked. Wow what a trip everyone was so friendly and wonderfully helpful.

Thank you to bigfoot2 for organizing the raffle. Wow so much money to keep such a great community going I feel proud to have bought a ticket. Thank you for the hammock, my wife loves it.

Thank you to Rip for the t-shirts I can't wait to come pick mine up! I look forward to the pictures and videos.

Thank you Kate for both your inspiration and for the patches. I can't wait to get mine and "textile kill" it to my pack. I look forward to the pictures and videos.

ChrisH thanks for starting the thread. Sorry you had to miss it. We all know you where there in spirit.

Thanks to Mindwalk for brining the amsteel. Sorry I was too lazy to do something with it. I did however see a wire tool left next to where you where teaching us all and will think of the hang when I use it to make my other projects.

As the last to leave I would like to thank whomever left the "Take Care" next to the firepit it was much appreciated.

To everyone else thanks for the companionship, ideas, warnings, and stories. I hope to see you all hanging on the trail sometime and hope that we can all make it to the next hang.

BTW my wife has decided to join our little forum. She is very much interested in ways to make a woman's life easier and cleaner on the trail. I also now have a DIY partner instead of just a thread injector problem solver.

    With much love and respect
    Mr and Mrs bgraybackpacker

P.S. The hike out was a "female dog" wasn't it?

Indiana Bigfoot And The Hang Of The GOLDEN TARP

Sure enough, 2 seconds later, "Bigfoot". The look of horror on his face was priceless, I hope someone got that on video.
The look of "horror" on my face was because i saw the look on EVERYONE ELSE"S face...i was seriously worried about my safety at that point.
It was like the opening scene of "Raiders Of The Lost Ark", only i'd be running away with a golden tarp instead of an idol I'm bringing a bullwhip next hang for sure

I won the TTTM Single in Pink - and yes, my daughter is super excited. I will be sending a few photos and a letter of thanks to TTTM this week.

I DID, in fact, capture the looks of horror on video! I'm editing furiously, but my sister's bridal shower invites and our thank you cards to the incredible donators must come first. Here's some more shots ta tide ya over.
