which tarp?

We will be backpacking so weight is somewhat of an issue. Hanging close sounds good (it's what the wife wants) so I guess I'll try to find/DIY a big tarp. Now to find a decent material. I just bought a used sewing machine yesterday and I need to learn to use it.

I've had really good luck with the Kelty Noah 9 tarp - they are sometimes on sale for $50 or so. But it would only cover one hammock, and is about 27 ounces. I plan to upgrade to an OES Mac cat deluxe soon, just to shave weight. The Noah kept me bone dry in a recent outing with torrential rain and storms.
