I was poking around my local Ace tonight (mostly getting hardware for hammocks ) and I came across these little buggers:
They are risers found near the pvc. I think they are suppose to act like stakes for a sprinkler system but dont quote me on that. The code on the sticker is Riser 12" BG10.
They are easy enough to cut with a good pair of scissors. They are about the same diameter as arrow shafts. They do have some flew in them which is what has me worried. I wanted to go out and test them but it started raining. Ill get to it tomorrow morning. But I could see these as being a decent alternative to the guys who cant get their hands on arrow shafts or pieces of aluminum. They were .68 cents a piece and can be cut in any way. Not to mention for the gram counters these are just as light, if not lighter than my aluminum toggles. If I had a scale I could give you a positive. Anyone else give this a try?
