    Hello from NH

Hello everyone! I'm hiking the Long Trail in August and wanted to pick up a hammock instead of tenting or staying at a shelter (boo). I was looking at a Clark, but ended up ordering today a Warbonnet 1.1 double. Thanks to this site because I didn't even know it existed!

There looks to be all kinds of useful info here and can't wait to receive my hammock to start playing around with it!

Greetings from north central PA and welcome to the Hammock Forums. Jealous your so close to the Green and White Mountains. Drove past your city just last week taking a winding route to visit my son in Portland ME. Wish you well on your Long Trail hike later this year. The hammock will definitely make it easier finding a place to rest at the end of a long day hiking.

Welcome from a former NHer. I've hiked about 25 or so of those 4,000-footers up in the Whites and you have access to some incredible scenery. Enjoy the hammock goodness here on HF.

Welcome to the trees from Mass! We have number of NH hikers here, and we plan group hangs in the area a couple of times per year - join us! Several hangers here have done parts or all of the LT, recently, in fact! Ask any questions, and you're bound to get an answer!

I just hang in my new Warbonnet 1.1 dbl ..... you will LOVE it!

Welcome from just across the river.

I'll be doing some sections of the LT this summer and fall, maybe we can compare notes...

I'm new to hammocks too, and I have gleaned a wealth of information on this forum, the folks here are top-notch. I can talk hammocks and camping all day so PM me if you want to meet-up and talk hammock some time.

Wow, thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I've got 47/48 of the Whites 4k footers in the books half in the winter. Saved Canon for last! Meeting people who share my enthusiasm for the outdoors is great.
