Great photos and trip report. The water color of some of your lakes is just great.

Actually kayaks are pretty stable,,the paddler less so.
Bummer on losing your neck knife, recently lost my favourite pocket knife...have looked everywhere, was hoping I'd find it in the backyard when the snow melted, no luck!

All of it is great,just nervous on rough crossings and nobody likes to lose stuff they've made but i'll have another one in a few wks.awesome trip report mbiraman! glad to see you visited with a couple friends and that your holy songs worked! bummer about your knife indeed, but it sounds like it could've been a lot worse. perhaps some pics of the custom work to commemorate the knife? i like knives

Over at Kootenay Lake east of here the water is a coke bottle green from the glacial runoff

Wow - what an adventure! A shame about the knife, but pretty incredible wildlife sightings - we are all lucky that you had a camera handy! I've seen (and taken pictures of) plenty of eagles, but never a bear!
Have you ever kayaked around the gulf islands? Amazing shorelines and wildlife (no bears though)!
As usual, beautiful pictures and great trip report. I cannot get over the color of the water in that lake. Thank you for taking the time to write up a report.
