    yeah i think 1 inch is alittle too much if your trying to save weight ..

    i say go for it i only made 2 stuff sacks then i made a Down UQ there not hard at all ... just takes time and plan everything out measure everything befor you start cutting and you will be fine... i remember my first one i had to seam rip every other seam LOL ... it took a few days but it was worth it and it came out great .... after the first few quilts you get a hang of it and then you can fly the rest of the way .. i feel the worst part is planning getting all your numbers right and measure everything out dbl check your numbers
    and you will be fine ... and take your time
    It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
