    Nice looking UQ!

How much of a size difference was there between the top and bottom pieces of nylon?

    Thanks everyone

as for size difference do you mean the diff. cut
the bottom chambers i measured out to 5 inch
the top were measured out to 5.5 inch
so i added a half inch it doesn't seem like alot but in the end you can tell just by looking at it

also added an extra 3 inch to the end chambers (sides) so the chambers will be the same size as the others also added 3 inch to the ends so not to squish the ends
it's hard to tell in the pics but the bottom or the side thats against my back is flat ...
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

Well, half an inch per baffle over 8 baffles is 4 inches overall, which is a pretty decent difference. I bet that snugs up really nice under the hammock.

This is going to be my next project after my tarp is done, so I appreciate the detials on your dimensions.

Congrats! That looks like a great UQ. Still haven't worked up the coverage to make one myself.
