These are some funky GTs and funky prices. Amazon is mucho cheaper for those searching.

Can anyone in the know recommend that woven cotton one? I'm thinking $40 for a casual home hammock doesn't sound too bad.

I think REI's free shipping (in this case) and generous return policy counts for a lot. Otherwise yeah, there are better deals out there most likely for just about anything you might buy.

Agreed. I have a rain jacket that I bought about 2 years ago, and never got much use for it until recently. When I did get use for it, I found that it wets through, and really is not a good purchase. I'll be returning it for a full refund. Can't beat that.

I am also curious about the $40 cotton hammock. Anyone with input?

Yeah - the cotton hammock is what I was looking at as well.
Does anyone have experience with that brand/model?
Seems like it might make a nice indoor hammock.

I have a very nice one but my ex-wife still has it at the moment. I am going over there in a little bit. I will see what brand it is for you.

SierraTradingPost also has a couple of cotton hammocks:
These aren't quite as big as the REI one (95x61")

    78x52" $18.66
    http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,...-Hammock-.html

    84x60" $34.95
    http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/,...a-Hammock.html

free shipping if you can find the riddle in the catalog and answer it
(I haven't found the riddle in this catalog yet)
