    all i know is that firefox kept saying that it had to close tabs & apologizing. sometimes it would do this while i was in the middle of something... like typing a post.
    then it would ask me if i wanted to send an error report.
    a couple week ends ago when i came back from an overnighter at mt rogers, it was switched back to IE & all my bookmarks were gone???
    at first i thought maybe my nephew did it for some reason. but anyway the IE has been working fine.
    there were things i did like about firefox, but i was told that others were having problems w/ it too.
    i believe most (if not all) of the problems started after firefox asked me to up-grade to a newer version of firefox.
    sorry for the non-hammock post, but this putter is my connection to other hammockers. ...tim

    headchange4u... a gear hammock that can be closed-up sounds like a good idea. mabey it could be used as a sack w/ several things in it... like a mini gear skin.

    interesting idea- gear hammock/pack- but what about straps? Wouldn't it be weird shaped to carry? Wouldn't you have to shift the underquilt round to the other (in) side?

    <off topic>
    sorry, can't resist, I'm a firefox fan-girl... YOU DID WHAT?! have you got firefox 2? Do you have a lot of extensions/add-ons that are leaking memory? IE7 is just copying firefox... badly. firefox is much safer (re phishing etc) than ie7. </offtopic>

    If you're being kind to your knees, (and you don't have to be an old person either to have bad knees- I'm only 19... sigh) Then you shouldn't have a lot of stuff to store while hiking!

    Here's some shots of Jeff's All-In-One setup as a gear hammock using slowhike's acessory line an hiking pole. Doesn't interfer with underquilt at all. Nice setup. Thanks slowhike.

    your welcome.
    one thing i did slightly different was tie to the tree instead of the hammock attachment.
    if you find that it`s still closer than you like, or it bothers you swinging w/ the hammock, you might give that a try.

    I just attach one end of the gear hammock to my biner and then the other end to the pole. If I do it like this the only extra piece of line I need is the one from the pole to the ground....and it's super easy to setup this way. I love the biner on my HH.

    Ok, Im not sure if this should be another thread, or if it already is one, but I feel like Im missing something. How is the HH hung with a biner and what are the advantages. How does one do this? BD

    Thanks for the link HeadChange. It was informative. I hope to see a living example in January. BD
