Yes, thanks. I have been following that forum and saw the post a couple days ago from the intrepid soul that just completed it solo and said that it was still 60% snow covered, bridges weren't in place and the skill level needed was high. We'll see ... I'll be out there in about two weeks and will decide then. We have some backup options if need be but that will be a disappointment if we have to punt.
Concerning gear, since I have not hammock camped there before, I am taking a belt and suspenders approach and am bringing a lightweight bivy, ground cloth and GG pad in addition to my hammock stuff. It is only an extra pound total and will give me options (albeit uncomfortable ones) if I have to sleep on the ground.
