Thanks everyone, The advice helped I am about 90% there. I think the rest of my problem is the size of the trees I'm tying to, they bend and I think it's throwing everything off. Raising the foot end I think has been the biggest help. I had been setting up as per the video by the War Bonnet Guy (Brandon) and for me I think a looser ridge in is the way to go. I will be replacing the ridge line today with an adjustable zing-it. I never doubted the WBBB comfort I am just uneducated to the hammock world but this forum is like hammock college. Fixed! I just added a DynaGlide adjustable ridge line to the suspension and after a miserable night with no sleep, I now have got this thing dialed in. It is now very comfy with no calf squeeze. The fix was making the ridge line about 2 1/2 inches shorter. Brandon said the stock lenght is about 98 inches so it's now 95 1/2 inches. Now the question is if the ridge line is tight is that bad? It does not have the slack like the video on the WB site.

Is it comfortable for you to sleep in it? Then it's not bad. HYOH

It is preferred to have some slack for comfort and not to snap the ridgeline accidentally.

The length of the ridgeline is for comfort. Set it how you want.

The tension on the ridgeline is a direct reflection on the angle of the suspension from the tree to the hammock. Greater than 30* from horizontal will start to develop a looser ridgeline, less than 30* creates a tighter ridgeline. Within reason (i.e. not breaking the ridgeline), it is really irrelevant.

So if I had just raised my tree straps higher I would have gotten more sag and a more comfy hang? Now you tell me! I'm at like 45 deg now and feeling good. Also got some of the sag back in the ridge line and still 2 1/2 inches shorter than norm.
