Tarp lines

I have the WB BMNJ tarp and just got my Dutch flyz's. What I'm wondering is how long should the tie outs and the ridge line be? I know it somewhat depends on whether you use a CRL or just the tarp ends like WB shows in the vid. I'm a little stumped as to which way to go.

If you use tie outs on either end, 10-12' per end should be plenty. This is my preferred method.

If you want a CRL, add the length of the tarp to the 10-12'ft per end.

i have the same tarp along with tarp flyz and i just use tie outs on each end (made a locked brummel loop from zing-it on one end and larks headed it to the rings) instead of CRL and it's super simple and works great and as angrysparrow said in a different thread about the same thing, the BMJ likes to pitched taut and this method work great for that

Thanks guys. What about the length of the corner and side tie outs. Is 10 ft too long?

My side tie outs are usually between 6 and 10 feet. i don't like messing with a lot of line so i keep it to a minimum.

My side tie-downs are 8' long and that's always been enough to get to the ground and tie a trucker's hitch in it. I always use stakes though, so if you like to tie down to trees etc you might want to add a few feet...
