Several times actually (OK, I memorized the process so I wouldn't have to keep pulling it up on the computer during the build, its just the way I roll). Sure beat trying to sew in a round or rectangular footbox and hides most of the goofs!

Simple is how I roll... Forget that grosgrain edging... too much like work. Roll the "pretty" side over the edge, and nobody sees a goof! I even did my down sleeping bag conversion the same way... It ain't pretty from the inside, but the outside looks great!

Yep, my Mom even called me simple once... hey.... wait a minute!

Probably why I like making hammocks... (Hmmm, hem a rectangle, add rope...)

Looks very nice and warm! Ill be taking my fleece TQ out this weekend for spring mahha. It is just a sleeping bag liner from dicks that I got for $10. It was rated to "50 degrees" and to my suprise I found that to be pretty true. I took it down to 47 degrees the other day, and though a bit chilly it wasn't bad at all.

Got my fleece TQ out for a hang last night and was quite pleased. Low temp for the night was 48-50 F. I was a little cool but still pretty comfortable (I'm a fairly warm sleeper). Had good coverage but I think when I make a cold weather TQ I'll make it 3-4 inches longer to be able to tuck it under my shoulders a bit further...

Kinda hard to see a black TQ on a charcoal hammock especially with a flash trying to wash the color out but here it is...

I have found that I stay warmer if I have more insulation under me than on top of me. Try putting a torso pad between the poncho liner and the hammock and see if that makes you a little warmer.

I like those poncho liners. I'm considering making an overquilt out of one for summer.

I've had the PLUQ down to 42 with me in a heavier sleeping bag and was quite toasty (not just comfortable...I'm talkin toasty warm). I'm thinking about a fleece inner liner for the TQ to have 2 layers of fleece...pretty sure I was at the low edge of my comfortable temp range with just one layer of fleece and a layer of ripstop...
