tie outs for doors on guide gear tarp?

Has anyone ever put tieouts for doors on a guide gear 12 x 12 tarp. The finished size is about 11'9'"sq. If I put the tieouts 2'6" in from each end that would leave 6'9" at the bottom of the tarp on the sides. Do you think that would work?

I have have to take a closer look at one of mine. I thought there were already tie outs on the side. I added two ridgeline tie outs to mine so far and the door option will be the next thing to add. I will watch this thread and see how you make out.

You should be already good to go (other than adding center tie outs) Like these:

The GG 12x12 already has tie outs that work well for doors.

I thought smaller doors might work better and add interior floor space, so I added new tie outs 2'-10" in from each corner.

I need to play with it some more, but my first impression is that the smaller doors don't close up well at all.

I suggest you try it with the existing tie outs before you create even smaller doors than I did.

Let us know how it works out.

The photo is before the added tie outs.

I just thoutght the doors would be too big. I have added the tie outs to hang it rectangular. I was thinking of new tieouts for smaller doors. I think now I will just hang it as is and see how I like it.
Thanks for4 the pics. It looks like it will work fine as it is.

Thanks for these pics, I'm gonna go rig up my Noah's 12 and see how much room she has this way!

When I did mine I used cheap tarp clips from Home Depot to figure out where to put the tie outs.
