Put on the bravery hat and....

I went for a DIY Hennessy/2QZQ zipper mod. It's still a work in progress> I still have to install the zippers that I will purchase next payday. Here's a couple of pics of where I'm at. So far so good despite the fact that I'm eating Vicodin like Tic-Tacs because of a Wisdom tooth extraction. The roots fused together in the sinus cavity so I had a bit of bone removed to get the tooth out. But that's another story. Here's a few pics:

I sewed the tape back on the no-see-um in hopes that it will make it easier to attach the zipper. Wish me luck on the rest.

Beautiful bit of work there! Best of luck with the tooth, as well. My dentist gave me Codine for a similar problem. You should never take codine on an empty stomach, but try eating when your mouth is throbbing like holy hell.

    Hang in there

    Cheers

I'll be interested to see how this turns out. I still have the zipper and netting to attach to my DIY hammock.

Good luck with the tooth. It was years ago when mine were removed, and I ended up so desperate for pizza that I put some Pizza Hut through the blender and basically drank it.

I should have it on next weekend. As far as the tooth, I pulled a stupid today and attempted a double cheeseburger. I couldn't open my mouth enough. It hurt...I really wanted that cheeseburger.

Hope your dental work heals quickly silverlion. I went through a lot of that this winter and couldn't eat crunchy stuff for a while. I have a nice new crown now and could chew rocks if I chose too.
Can't wait to see how you do on the zipper. I am zipper challenged when it comes to sewing one in. Good luck!

I can picture it now. A zipper across the bug netting.

I got the zipper put on(pics to come soon). It's not the straightest stitches I've ever seen, but it's functional. That's pretty much all I need. All I have left is to finish up the ends of the zippers so the pull doesn't come off. I've been so busy dealing with my new, temporary schedule(nights) and trying to spend some time with the family, i haven't had much time to get my hammock finished. Providing I can get the rest of the hardware i need, I might just get this thing finished this weekend. I'm not holding my breath though.
