For a little background, let me relay a funny story. Several months back, our family bumped into a family we know in a local restaurant. Their two children had attended my wife's preschool for several years, and I knew him through my wife. It also turns out, years ago he was a member of the boy scout troop for which I am currently the Scoutmaster, and accordingly we also both sail, so we have several mutual friends.
Anyway, as we were back to back at in the booths in the restaurant, we started talking, and it turns out he is a hammocker (I already knew he was an avid outdoorsman--backpacking and kayaking), and more surprisingly, he makes custom tarps. His wife is a biologist, running a regional reptile center, so he named his "business": Terrapin Tarps.
Anyway, he and I have spent some time working out details and tomorrow he will be delivering to me a custom tarp (as of yet unnamed). It is 1.1 sil, and of a similar size and shape to others around her, but it has some custom features.
Tomorrow night, I hope to be hanging in the backyard and giving a report on the tarp and a new custom UQ I received from Paul last week.
Stay tuned.....
