    Thanks
I've never personally noticed a difference in quality. But, maybe I just got lucky with the distributors I went with. I would just take the advice from people on here with what they have chosen because they know exactly what the quality is.

I got 1000' of 3/32" from Amazon.com for about $22. Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway) I use it for everything and if I need it to be a little heftier, I just double it up. Works Like charm and seems to be good enough quality.

    Shock cord

You might also check Hamilton Marine, Searsport, Maine. They sell a 500' roll of 1/4" white for $62.00 that will keep you supplied for a long time. If you visit the stores (Portland, Rockland, Searsport) they have the same in multiple colors and sizes. Their primary use is boat tarp tie-downs, so it lasts a fairly long time.

I found .50 cents a yard here in the Twin cities...

$14.25 shipping for 30' makes it a bit pricey.

well i'm only looking for a few feet and am only going to spend $6-7 bucks so i don't really care

more interested in "if it's decent shock cord or just junk" i don't want something that is going to fail when i'm 3 days into a 10 day trip with no stores in sight

the supply captain cord has a hundred pound strength (if i remember right). I have other cord from other vendors and I can break it with my hands (which I am not crazy about) and it isn't the greatest in the cold or outdoors for too long (some older tarps and such).

Forum vendors Arrowhead Equipment and Backwoods Daydreamers both sell shockcord at decent prices especially if you can add it to another order to combine shipping....
