Thanks for replying back about the tree straps. I ordered a set of carabiners from Brandon when I ordered the 1.0 (i). I'll just use the black straps for now, but I will be replacing them...I have a camping trip next weekend, so for now the black will be used.

Reason I don't want black straps is that black is the worst color when it comes to night vision equipment.

I have been researching on this forum for the past few days and saw that strapworks site...I'll be ordering some polyester webbing from them and finding someone locally to sew the loops for me.

I think people generally use a carabiner or Dutch clip in the loop to secure the strap to itself around the tree. Alternatively, you can thread the webbing back through the loop, but that's a pain to do every time because you'll have to take the straps off the buckles.

If you really hate the black straps, you can get polyester straps in all colors and patterns from Strapworks. Very good service, although the webbing is somewhat heavier than the straps you'll get from Brandon. I have straps in black and white argyle.

    Stealthy? No. Sassy? Yes.

They'll sew the loops for you. Order one " simple sling" twice the length you want your straps to be. Cut it in half and burn the raw ends. Voila. Two tree straps.

Tufifdesiks, Congrats on your WBBB purchase! IMO wise choice. Mine took about a week to receive. Brandon was very pataient and quickly answering all my questions before I purchased. It is a bit like Christmas waiting to receive your new bundle of joy.

I'm sure you will fully enjoy your new WBBB purchase!

I should have posted a mini review before this. But here is a few more peak preview pics I'm posting for you...

I was too, but I made the switch and haven't looked back. I've sent in my HH to 2QZQ for the mod 4 and swapping out the suspension with whoopie slings hoping it'll bring life back to my old Explorer. It'd be a nice "bugnet" free hammock.
I like metric, I use metric, for those of you who don't ... you should, for those of you who won't ... here.
    0*C - 32*F, 10*C - 50*F, 20*C - 68*F, 30*C - 86*F
    100g - 3.52oz, 500g - 17.63oz, 1kg - 2.2lbs, 16oz - 1lbs
    10cm - 3.9", 1m - 3.28ft, 1km - 0.62mi

Kasuko, Hope you can breath a little more life back into your HH. If anyone can do it from all the reviews I have read is 2QZQ. Bug free is always good!
