Saturday was our 3rd anniversary, so the wife and I went down to Pokagon State Park in Angola IN just for an overnighter. We got there late afternoon and set up shop, then walked up to the Potawatomi Inn for a surprisingly good buffet dinner. Back to camp and got a fire going and just relaxed. Had a couple of baby food jar candle lanterns sitting around camp, which was really nice, and we just chilled out. The breeze had gotten up by bed time and my sclittlefield DIY IX UQ did a nice job of keeping me warm, but the breeze seemed to work its way in every once and a while. Also deployed the Keyhole Line Tensioners on my tarps continuous ridgeline and they worked as advertised.
Sunday morning we hung out and the misses practiced tying knots while I poured over some maps of the BWCA. Out for a nice walk around the park (long enough to burn my dome) then headed home. It was a nice and easy overnight and I am lucky my lovely wife enjoys the outdoors almost as much as I do. She really is terrific.
