Packing wet tarps (Snakeskins?)

I use net snakeskins and attach the tarp to the outside of my pack.

I also use mesh skins and my tarp is outside my pack regardless of wet or dry. Going to set up camp in the rain and having to open your pack to get the tarp getting the rest wet is less that desirable, and in the cold wet down can have other severe problems. That said your tarp should always be outside of your pack/pack liner IMO.

Mine go in the mesh pocket outside my pack; no stuff sack, no snake skins, just stuffed in there waiting for the next camp.
