I started w/ENO and I really like their DN and the DryFly.
It goes up quickly, adjusts easily without adding figure9's or other hardware and it goes back in its bag smoothly.
The cuts are pronounced but not extreme. (IMHO) It's those cuts that that channel a heavy rain away. I've been in light rains and HEAVY rains but never in a killer blowing sideways rain. I've always been dry as toast.
There's not enough room if you want to do a porch arrangement. But I've set it up wide open for good air flow, and down tight for maximum protection. I've always been very happy with the DryFly.
As they say... HYOH, or in this case HYOT.

Now, ask me what I think of the POS crapstraps.

I got an ENO DN and just paired it WB asym diamond tarp. I used it this weekend and wow, I'm diggin' it. It didn't rain, however, I could tell that the coverage would have been sufficient. I like hex tarps, but not all the tie-outs and weight for summertime...

Maybe one day I'll decide to check out why everybody keep complaining about the straps and get something different like the woopie slings. I would like to change the carabiners, but I don't see the problem with a little stretching if there is any at all, I don't notice it.

I have used a dryfly for a year or soo, through many storms, never had a drop o water end up in my hammock... The cuts are a bit drastic, but as long as your smart about it, you can easily stay dry.. I generally try to hang perpendicular to the wind, and hang one side of the tarp (the side facing the wind) lower...

when you set up your camp,,,if you can take into consideration,,which way the weather is going to come from at you,,set your tarp up to make sure one of the sides takes the full blow..most times you can be on the money if your paying attention to the weather and which direction it mostly comes from. I cannot always be right about predicting that...but most of the time,,your going to be right.

This is exactly what I was talking about.. You would not build a three sided lean-too with the open side facing the weather now would you? watch the clouds and wind direction and set up accordingly...

I just bought a Kelty Noah 12 as a secondary "large fly" to use a base camp shelter and fly when the need arises. That thing is huge and massively overkill for my needs for an everyday hang. I used it on an overnight camping trip with a large group. I was severely limited on where I could put it. It will do the job, but I much prefer my dryfly, which is making my next backpacking trip with me in two weeks.

well, got my profly in, and like it pretty good. seems to provide good coverage. and unfourtunately for me, i didnt find this site before i bought the slap straps... ugh! they really didnt stretch as much as i expected but the adjustability isnt what i would prefer. your loops to attach the carabiener are a good 6" or more apart which limits your setup... will be upgrading soon! havent decided on whoopies to webbing around the trees or just all webbing with descender rings...
