    OK, it is Wednesday. I almost forgot to hang the tarp and hit it with the water hose. But i did it. I started with a light hosing, no run, no chipping, no rubbing off while wet (That i could see). Went to a hard hitting with the hose from about 6 feet away. Same thing, no runs, no chipping, no rubbing off while wet (that i could see). Then went hard hitting from about 6 inches away. Same thing, no runs, no chipping, no rubbing off while wet (that i could see). I think this type of paint will work on this tarp pretty well. Now all i have to do is find bigger cans and of the colors i want.

    You can keep the current background, it won't mess things up - Now you can go over the top with these kits...

    There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
    He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
    Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl

    Awesome to hear! Can you hang it up and take pictures of it, say against a wooded background to see the improvement?

    If a dye like Ritt or some other would work, It would be cool to do a camo Tie-Dye pattern like the old 60's T-shirts...

    For that matter do an Eyeball Aching All-Out Hippy Tie-Dye job on it. You'd always be able to find your hammock!

    Give these guys a call and talk to them about the material, what you want to use it for etc. They should be able to hook you up. They carry dyes for everything from all cotton hippy tie-dye t-shirts to nylon, rayon, silk,etc,
    They also have the chemicals to use to set the colors in permanently (RIT usually fades pretty quickly)
    I've been using them for years to make those "Eyeball Aching All-Out Hippy Tie-Dye job " t-shirts, underwear, etc ever sisnce I retired from the Marines since I didn't have to dress like everybody around me anymore!

    I went hiking with Jimmy and XtremeKatfishn today for a little bit. We stopped and put up XtremeKatfishn's new Switchback DL and this tarp Just playing around, no camping today. Here are a couple pics. Not very camo.

    It's still better than the off-white! I'm thinking I'll get a larger can of fabric paint and just do the tiger-stripe thing in black... maybe Zebra stripe it...
