Guide gear vs. WB tarp?

I would get the Warbonnet tarp. I fact, I just did. I bought the WBBB and the Mamjamba Tarp, which are apparently en route.

I have 2 Guide Gear Tarps, a Kondos tarp and a Cooke Custom Sewing tarp. The Guide Gear tarps are not in the same league as the others in terms of quality materials, features, and workmanship. But they are huge and cheap so sometimes that trumps everything else.

The Guide Gear tarps are enormous and relatively bulky and heavy. The Black Bird Hammock is relatively ultralight as hammocks go. So the combination of a Guide Gear tarp and a Black Bird hammock seems mismatched.

That was my thinking too, but I went ahead and just ordered the hammock. I'm going to get a feel for it and then decide on a tarp. I won't need a tarp out here very often. At least for rain, a tarp would be more useful for wind protection I think. Plus, I get to keep researching tarps, heck that's half the fun!

thanks...that's just too heavy...good for car camping or pulkin' though.
