I spliced in about a 2" piece of amsteel in the loop (constrictor side) as close to the constrictor as I could. It doesnt look any different really, but it wont pull through! Its a good fix for this problem if you have already made them and don't really want any extra hardware on there.

While putting the bead on the adjustable loop end is a great idea if you plan that far ahead when making your slings, I never remember to put the bead on there.

I usually end up taking care of this issue after the fact with a small piece of utility line and tie a double overhand stopper knot over the loop and push that down to the fixed leg where the adjustable leg goes into the hollow core. works like a charm - a frosted, lucky charm

An easy "After" mod is to use a small split ring key ring "over" the loop. I get mine at the hardware store. Easy to install after making the Whoopie Sling AND it won't pull through.

I just tied a small loop of amsteel around the loop with a single overhand knot and singed the ends with a lighter. Weighs almost nothing.

Just slides around like a little dongle.

Hey Harrell, I am a visual learner. Can you post a pic on this, I would love to see it.I dont quite get how a 2" splice will stop the pull-out.

Please post a pic so I can see.

I also inverted a loop when first learning to make whoopies. My solution was to whip the last 1/4" section of the loop with dental floss. ( I was traveling when I made the whoopies, and this was what I had with me.) The dental floss is almost invisible on the green dynaglide. The floss stiffens this final bit just enough that it can't turn and make the leap into the hole.

    Anti whoopie loss devices

Here's some pics of some tricks I've done. The first three can be added to your existing whoopies.

I made a small continous loop. This one takes some time and patience.

A piece of string just tied onto the adjustable loop.

A bead, which needs to be done during the making of the whoopie.

gargoyle cleared it up. In my head I saw a straight 2" length of cordage.
i didn't think it was in a loop.

Here is what I imagined in my head. but the loop makes more sense.

I think he meant to bury the whole 2" length to "thicken" the section next to the constrictor.
