Calling all side sleepers

Although I have gotten a pretty decent side sleep in a gathered end hammock; my experience is that the most flat side sleep is accomplished by a bridge hammock.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I appreciate the help. I'll have to look into the bridge hammock. I'll give my ENO another few go-rounds and see what I can work out. I got my new whoopie sling suspension so I want to try that out as I was just using webbing before.

I sleep on my side full time at home. I've had some trouble accomplishing a full side lay on any hammock, but have done it. I find I usually sleep half on my back, and half on my left side in all hammocks. Lounging in my traveler yesterday I got the perfect side lay. So my only advice before you give up on the standard gathered end hammock is to give it some time. Move around a lot. I've slept in a hammock around 30 times now and I just found that perfect lay yesterday.

Or just go for a bridge hammock, haha.

I have an NX250 and a WBB and sleep on my side in both. I just tuck my knees up a little or use the recovery position. I'm 6'5 about 230-40 lbs. I don't find it a problem at all as long as the hammock is set up right.

Side sleeper at home.

I think you just have to find that sweet spot and everyone has a different one. I roll around a lot and don't have a problem in my switchback, but I have an ENO DN that I sleep in at home and have no issues sleeping on my side in it either.

I could just be weird, I don't seem to have much problem sleeping anywhere but the ground

Nothing like multiple guys trying to get comfy in their hammocks at the same time. Nylon on nylon, makes a lot of noise, haha. Rip knows, haha.

I have the Singlenest that I used to use, and I couldn't sleep on my side - the fabric pressing into my knees caused pain that didn't go away for a few weeks. So I invested in a WBBB 1.1 dbl and so far so good.

These days I just use the ENO for lounging at a lake with friends.

i side sleep on my bed, but find sleeping on my back just fine in a hammock.

have been sleeping in the SB LightHiker on the deck the past couple of nights and early this am I decided to try sleeping on my side. it was just fine...despite me not have the best of sags.

The amazing thing was that I got up this morning and realized that I did not have any of the usual arthritis pain/soreness when I got up.
