Why not a hennessy hammock?
He is looking for a lightweight solution. The GT Ultra with bug sock will be around 12oz, Hennessy doesn't get that light, or close to it, at least not that I'm aware of.

Ann my fault. I was thinking that the 1 pound hennesy was really light. Didn't know there are hammocks as light as 12oz. That is amazing.

I have a GT Ultralight and have considered getting a Nano for a lightweight set up, but when I get in my Ultralight it's like 10lbs of taters in a 5lb sack. Not very comfy. I really like my Traveler with a bugnet.
CB how well does it seal? As someone thats had malaria before I always use a bug net unless inside and do some then too since its there (I use my BB inside as well as camping). The idea of pulling it over vs a zipper would make it lighter but not sure its worth it. How much would say a 35-40 in zipper add as thats all you generally need to get in/out.
I can get the net closed almost to the size of 7/64th amsteel, but when you factor in the pulling down on the net it settles on the end of the fabric of the hammock creating a very good seal! Now mind you that it's not perfect, and nothing really is, best practice (at least from my perspective) is to make the net take a bath in Permethrin, so it works on many levels! I will try and dig mine out in the morning and take some pics for you, don't think I will be able to show it loaded, but it will at least provide you with something!
I can't really say anything about the zipper, sorry!
